Middle school host of career day

May 18, 2006

Eudora Middle School had its first Career Day May 5 for eighth-grade students.

Students were able to hear a variety of speakers throughout the day in their classrooms. They learned about what it takes to become an attorney, athletic trainer, physical therapist, nurse, police officer, pilot and wildlife specialist.

To conclude the day, Mark Johnson spoke at an assembly during which he encouraged the students with the message that through hard work, each student could accomplish remarkable feats.

Other speakers who volunteered their time to speak to the students included Roger Warren, Gary Crain from Operation Wildlife, Mark Padfield, Jeremy Kline, Ann Todd-Cooper, Zac Anshutz, Brock Miller and Kimberlee Bell.
