No. 8 Wellington first to face top seeded Eudora
May 25, 2006
Looking at the brackets for this weekend’s 4A state baseball tournament, one could see a bit of a lopsided trend. Seven of the eight teams headed to Salina boast at least 14 wins, and fewer than seven losses. The odd team out in the equation is the Wellington Crusaders, whom Eudora will face Friday to open the tournament.

Cardinal girls win again, set their eyes on Class 4A state
May 25, 2006
As the scores were tallied at the end of the day Friday at Tonganoxie, one thing was exactly as it has been the entire track season. The Cardinal girls sat atop the standings for the eighth time this season with 103 points. The only thing different for the team this time around was that it capped an undefeated season, something Eudora head coach Phil Katzenmeier had yet to see during his time as a track coach.

Cardinals determined to prove regional title not season’s highlight
May 25, 2006
The Cardinals celebrated last Tuesday’s regional championship like any team who had been rewarded for a season’s worth of preparation and hard work — in a mob on the mound followed by a trophy in the air. Power of Web can entangle unwary
May 25, 2006
Not too long ago, many people had stacks and stack of books called encyclopedias in their homes. In fact, some people made their living selling these books door to door. These encyclopedias were sometimes prominently displayed as a symbol of stature. They contained a wealth of information that was not available anywhere else. That was until Al Gore invented something called “The Internet.”
