Summer reading for adults will be offered at the Eudora Public Library beginning June 1.

Adult readers can "Get Their Paws on a Good Book" through Aug. 31.

  • This year's theme for the summer reading program for elementary readers is "Paws, Claws, Scales and Tales."

The kick-off party will be at 10 a.m. June 1 at Nottingham Elementary School, 1428 Elm St., and the Topeka Zoo will give a program.

The theme for teen readers ages 12 and older is "Creature Feature."

All teen readers are welcome to join with the Bibliomaniacs from noon to 1 p.m. every Wednesday, beginning June 7 for book discussions, crafts and other teen activities.

Teens are asked to bring a sack lunch and a chair or blanket to sit on. A drink will be provided.

  • The Eudora Public Library now has DVD's for checkout.
