Ruby M. Cunningham
Services for Ruby M. Cunningham, 85, Topeka, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel in Topeka. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Cunningham died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006.
She was born Nov. 15, 1920, in Eudora, the daughter of Gideon and Lottie Laughlin Neis.
Mrs. Cunningham worked for Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe Railway in Topeka for 15 years. She and her husband owned and operated Empire Rental and Leasing Company for about 20 years.
Mrs. Cunningham was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Business Girls League of Topeka, a past president of Santa Fe Women's Club, a co-editor of Santa Fe Retirees Club and a member of the National Association of Railway Business Women.
She married Ernest "Ken" Cunningham on May 2, 1959, in Eudora. He died May 28, 1997.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen Cook, Flower Mound, Texas; two grandchildren; eight nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and several great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
