The 2006 Kansas Hay and Grazing Conference will take place Dec. 13 and 14 at the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson.
The conference includes key note speakers and 14 topics presented in breakout sessions that include: weed and brush control, grazing horses, forage selection for grass-fed beef, planting and establishing eastern gamagrass, filling the forage gap in drought times, economics of Roundup Ready Alfalfa, hay hauling trucking regulations, rotational grazing, marketing certified weed free hay and alfalfa variety selection.
Registration is due Dec. 8. Cost is $70 per person and $50 for second person. Registration at the door is $120.
The conference also includes commercial exhibitors, evening entertainment and a product auction.
