Middle school football

The Eudora Middle School junior varsity traveled to Louisburg Sept. 28 to take on the Wildcats in football action.

The Cardinal offense was sparked by Juan Ramirez who broke free on a 48-yard touchdown run to give the Cardinals a 6-0 halftime lead.

The Cardinal defense came up big with a goal line stand early in the fourth quarter. The offense took over on their own 13 yard line when Ramirez took a handoff and scampered 87 yards for a touchdown.

The Cardinal defense came up big on the next possession forcing a fumble that rolled into the end zone and was recovered by Jared Bruner for another Cardinal touchdown.

Eudora came away with an 18-0 victory.

  • The seventh-grade football team rallied in the second half Monday to notch a 28-14 win over Baldwin.

After a scoreless four quarters, the eighth-grade team lost to Baldwin in four overtime periods 28-22.
