Wilma Rockhold

Services for Wilma Rockhold, 91, Baldwin City, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home in Lawrence. Burial will be in Vinland Cemetery.

Mrs. Rockhold died Monday, Oct. 16, 2006, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born Nov. 13, 1914, in Climax, the daughter of Abraham and Rose Crawford Needels. She was a Douglas County resident since the age of 10. She attended the Menninger "Four Years Through the Bible" Bible study.

Mrs. Rockhold married George Marion Rockhold on Feb. 20, 1931, in Topeka. He died Oct. 24, 1997.

Survivors include four sons, Walter Rockhold and Leonard Rockhold, both of Baldwin City, Glenn Rockhold, Oklahoma, and Bob Rockhold, Topeka; two daughters, Helen Hapes, Odessa, Mo., and Betty Lawrenz, Eudora; a brother, Bob Needels, Baldwin City; 21 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Margaret Gurley, died June 10, 2006, and a son, LaVern Rockhold, died Feb. 11, 1959.

The family suggests memorials to the American Diabetes Assn., sent in care of the Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1260, Lawrence 66044.
