Bible study offered
hurch is offering a Bible study "The Bible from Scratch: The New Testament for Beginners."
This overview of the New Testament is designed especially for beginners.
The group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the home of Marcia Bagby, 1618 Sycamore St., Eudora, starting Monday. It is co-led by Ulysses Castillo and Marcia Bagby.
The study is open to anyone in the community.
Those planning to attend are asked to call the church office at 542-3200 to reserve a spot.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
