Heitzman sets record
Eudora runner Paul Heitzman won the upper-age division of the Tulsa Zoo Run 10K Oct. 7 in a time of 50:13, an Oklahoma age-group record. The old mark of 51:26 was set in 1997.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
