Middle school basketball

The seventh-grade junior varsity girls basketball team defeated Tonganoxie 20-13 Monday in its first game of the season.

Leading the cards in scoring was Beverly Virtue with 12 points followed by Jocelyn Medrano with four and Hannah Gregg and Juliana Fries with two each.

  • The eighth-grade junior varsity team traveled to Tonganoxie Monday in basketball action.

Coach Tad Teehee said the Cardinals played hard but were not able to stop the high-powered Tonganoxie offense. Eudora fell 24-4.

  • The eighth-grade varsity team opened its basketball season Monday on the road at Tonganoxie.

Eudora got off to a slow start, but battled and played hard the whole game. In the end, Tonganoxie came away with the win 33-14.

The seventh-grade varsity team started the season off with a hard fought battle Monday against the Tonganoxie Chieftains but fell 24-10.

Ashlyn Jackson had two points, two rebounds and two steals. Jennifer Bowser and Sarah Prudden each had two points and two rebounds and Anyssa Mays had two points and three steals. Chloe Pittman finished with two points.

Mackenzie Cadue had three rebounds and two steals and Katelyn Abel and Madeline Dickerson each had a rebound apiece.
