Junior varsity sports

Cross country

Anne Marie Myklested earned sixth, followed by Molly Brunton in ninth at the cross country junior varsity competition Aug. 31 at Anderson County.
In freshman competition, John Hadl took sixth, followed closely by Zac Courter.


The junior varsity soccer team lost 3-1 to Gardner Aug. 29.


The junior varsity volleyball team had its ups and downs Aug. 29, but came away with two wins.
Beginning with Bonner Springs, Kendal Abel, Jessi Stewart and Natalie Gloshen each had several kills and blocks to help pull out the win.
The team lost in three games to Basehor, but finished the evening with wins against Baldwin.
The team went 2-0 Tuesday at Turner.
Eudora came out on top against Turner 25-18, 25-14.
Stewart, Catherine Klotz, Shea Lounsbury and Abel each had several kills. In addition, Abel and Abby Mott were strong in the setters' position.
The second match was against Pembroke Hill. Eudora won 25-15, 25-22.
Lounsbury and Gloshen led the team with a couple of kills apiece. Hannah Kouri and Stewart had several digs to help keep the ball on Eudora's side.
The team plays at home at 5 p.m. Thursday.
