April 5, 2007

Eudora High School is celebrating Student Athlete/Activities Week, in conjunction with the 20th annual National Student Athlete Day on Friday. The day is used to honor outstanding young people who are committed to academic and extracurricular excellence. It is sponsored by the NCAA and the Federation of State High School Associations.

EHS teachers and coaches nominated students who excel in academics and athletics, while making significant contributions to the community. Two or three of the 12 nominees were recognized each day with a special announcement and presentation of a certificate.

The following student athletes were recognized -- Brittney Graff, Kendal Abel and Kent Swanson, Christina Pyle, Amelia Bock and Matthew Abel, Rachel Pyle and Haley Epperson, Morgan Abel and Emily Ballock, and Joey Chino and Elaina Kouri.
