The family of Marisa Bergman asks for prayers as she prepares for surgery.
Bergman will have facial reconstruction surgery Friday at St. Louis Children's Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. The surgery will be extensive and Bergman will be required to have her jaws wired shut for four to six weeks after the surgery for healing purposes.
Bergman was injured in a motor vehicle accident last September when the vehicle she was a passenger in collided with a semi-tractor trailer on Interstate-70 in Topeka.
She is the daughter of Rachelle Ziesenis-True, Eudora, and Cory Bergman, De Soto.
"We pray that Marisa will be healed in time to participate in high school graduation ceremonies," her grandmother Rose Steffey said.
