The East Central Kansas Economic Opportunity Corporation is accepting applications for a $500 college scholarship.
Applicants must be graduating high school seniors who live in Anderson, Coffey, Douglas, Franklin, Lyon, Miami or Osage counties. The student's family income must be 125 percent or less of the poverty level guidelines, which are available through the ECKAN office, P.O. Box 40, 1320 S. Ash St., Ottawa 66067.
Applications must be postmarked no later than April 28 for consideration.

Health career scholarship applications are now available from Douglas County Visiting Nurses, Rehabilitation and Hospice Care. Scholarship opportunities are being offered for students interested in pursuing a career in the home health field including nursing, occupation therapy and physical therapy.
Applications will be reviewed and the scholarship funds will be awarded to students who agree to accept a position with the agency upon graduation.
The submission deadline is May 15.
