Eudora High School hosting blood drive
The Eudora High School Student Council will have a community blood drive from 2 to 6 p.m. April 30 in the commons area at Eudora High School, 2203 Church St.
Donors are asked to eat well and drink plenty of fluids prior to donating. In addition, they are asked to bring identification like a Community Blood Center donor card or driver's license.
Blood and platelet donors must be at least 16 years of age, weigh 110 pounds, and be in generally good health.
All donations through the Community Blood Center benefit local hospital patients. Last year, 28,000 individuals in the area needed a blood transfusion. One donation can help as many as two local hospital patients. Community Blood Center must collect at least 580 pints of blood every day to meet the needs of the area.
For more information or to make an appointment, call Eudora High School counselor Paul Walrod at 542-4986. To make an appointment online, go to www.esavealifeno.org and use sponsor code: eudorahs.
Walk-ins are also welcome.
