Engagement: EudoraFest meeting set
The EudoraFest committee will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday and Sept. 6, 13, 20 and 27 and Oct. 4 in the basement at Mutual Savings, Eighth and Main streets, Eudora.
Anyone who would like to volunteer to help is encouraged to attend the meetings.
The EudoraFest event is Oct. 6 in downtown Eudora.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
