Jazzercise instructor Jacque Tummons will offer a free class at 9 a.m. Sept. 8 at Nottingham Elementary School, 1428 Elm St., as a fund-raiser for the Chiefs Children's Fund and Breast Cancer Awareness.
Each year for the past 10 years, Jazzercise has been asked to give a halftime performance at a Chiefs home game to raise money for the two organizations. This year, the game is at noon Oct. 6 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Each participant must raise a minimum of $275 in order to perform. Anyone who raises $400 gets invited back after football season to a dinner and tour of Arrowhead with one of the football players.
Money raised at the Sept. 8 event at Nottingham will be divided between all the girls planning to perform at the halftime event to help them reach the minimum amount due.
For more information, call Tummons at (913) 709-1098.
