Obituary: Ethel M. Morris
Funeral services for Ethel Mae Morris, 92, Lawrence, were Monday, August 27, at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial was at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Morris died Wednesday, August 22, 2007, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Sept. 4, 1914, in Hallowell, the daughter of Harry William and Connie Marie Robins Guy. She attended school in Columbus.
She worked at Kress Department Store, Gambles and Tempo. After retiring she was a homemaker and helped care for her grandchildren.
She married Homer Harold Morris in 1932. He died May 8, 1973.
She was preceded in death by a brother Gene Guy; and three sisters Dorothy Cooper, Mary Brumback and Pearl Coons.
Survivors include two daughters, Wilma Ridgway, and Margie Gentry, both of Lawrence; two sisters, Margie Pace, Columbus, Becky Eaton, Baxter Springs; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
