- Eudora City Administrator Cheryl Beatty said the city will begin work on a Web site and plans to have it up within the next six months. The city has budgeted $2,000 to $3,000 for the project and will be in discussion with Stable Systems Solutions to build the site at a cost.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
