Santa gets some help from Zoi Shronce Sunday during the lighting ceremony in front of Eudora City Hall as Andrea Wimmet looks on. The
ceremony was part of a day that also saw Eudora celebrate the Christmas season in a ribbon cutting and grand opening at the Eudora Community and Aquatic Center. For more, see page 7A.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
