The 2007 Panther Invitational didn’t quite end like the girls basketball team wanted, but coach Ryan Luke was still proud after his girls were defeated 47-43 at the hands of Tonganoxie, the team that defeated the Cardinals by a wider margin (12 points) at sub-state a year ago.

The Eudora Chamber of Commerce will sponsor its “Light Up Eudora” contest again this year. The contest rewards the area’s best holiday light displays. Entries will be judged Dec. 15 and 16. Contestants should have their lights turned on between 6 and 10 p.m. each night for judging.
