LMH earns award

February 1, 2007

For the second year in a row, Lawrence Memorial Hospital has been recognized as one of the top acute care hospitals in the country.

LMH was named one of the recipients of the Total Benchmark Solution Best Acute Care Hospitals Award, based upon quality measure data provided in 2005 by health care organizations across the country to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the government agency that administers Medicare and Medicaid services.

LMH was one of only three hospitals in Kansas and Missouri to be listed among the top 100. LMH ranked first in the country in heart attack care, with perfect scores on all indicators measured.
