Esther H. Shea

Mass of Christian burial for Esther H. Shea, 92, Lawrence, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Hutchinson. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Hutchinson.

Mrs. Shea died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, at Eudora Nursing Center.

She was born June 20, 1914, in Hutchinson, the daughter of John Baptist and Mary Magdalene Klug Kaiser. She was a lifetime resident of Hutchinson and moved to Lawrence in 2006.

Mrs. Shea was a homemaker and a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church.

She married Thomas James Shea on Aug. 12, 1932, in Newton. He died Oct. 5, 1989.

Survivors include a son, Thomas J. Shea Jr., Green Bay, Wis.; two daughters, Mary Ann Holdredge, Lawrence, and Helen Rose Siroky, Douglass; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

A rosary will be said at 10 a.m. Friday at the church.

Friends may sign a guest book from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary in Hutchinson.

The family suggests memorials to Douglas County Visiting Nurses Association, sent in care of the Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main St., Hutchinson 67501.
