Food pantry support appreciated
I would like to express my sincere appreciation to all the individuals, schools, service organizations, local churches and others who made donations of food and money to the Eudora Ministerial Alliance food pantry.
We have been overwhelmed this holiday season by the generosity of our community. Thanks to your donations, our supplies should last into spring and provide much needed assistance to those we serve.
Thanks again to all, and please remember the need for donations continues throughout the year.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
