College notes

The names of more than 1,500 candidates for degrees in the fall 2006 semester at Kansas University have been announced by the registrar's office.

Graduate and undergraduate degrees are conferred in December based on work completed during the fall semester. Many graduating in the fall and summer terms return for commencement exercises May 20.

Carissa Kell, Charlotte Kluza, Marie Kohart, Kelly Meacham and Amanda Stewart, all of Eudora, and Eudora High school graduate Laura High earned degrees.

Kell earned a master of business administration. Kluza earned a master of arts in ecology and evolutionary biology. Kohart earned a master of science in education and Meacham earned a bachelor of science in business. Stewart received a bachelor of science in biology and High earned a bachelor of fine arts.

Parker Guidry, Linwood, earned a bachelor of science in education.

  • Jessica Stein, Eudora, was one of several area residents who earned a master of science degree during Emporia State University's fall commencement Dec. 16.

  • Tina Clark, Eudora, was named to the Presidential Honor Roll at Kansas Wesleyan University for the 2006 fall semester.

Clark maintained a 3.95 grade point average while completing 22 hours during the semester.
