Co-op board meets
The regular meeting of the East Central Kansas Cooperative in Education Board of Directors took place Dec. 12 at the Cooperative Central Office in Baldwin City.
Members present were Blaine Cone, Susan Rader, Ande Parks, Ardith Bell, Kenny Massey, Jim Martin, Caren Lowe, Director and Sue Martin, Clerk of the Board.
Job descriptions for the office staff were reviewed and suggestions were made by board members for more specific wording for qualifications needed for each position.
The board also requested that a manual be put together for cross training within the office.
Ande Parks made a motion to increase the director's salary to $87,366; to increase the clerk's salary (non-exempt) to $46,000; to increase the secretary/treasurer's salary (non-exempt) to $32,466 and to increase the IMC coordinator's wage to $15 per hour for fiscal year 2007. Susan Rader seconded the motion and it carried by a 6-0 vote.
The East Central Kansas Cooperative in Education is the special education cooperative that serves Eudora, Baldwin and Wellsville.
