Historical society meeting
The January meeting of the Eudora Area Historical Society will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Eudora City Hall, 4 East Seventh St.
Officers for 2007 will be installed. The program will be on Eudora's early telephone system.
A door prize and refreshments will be available.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
