Quilt guild meeting
The Maple Leaf Quilters Guild of Baldwin City board will meet at 6 p.m. Jan. 25 at the Baldwin City Library. The guild will meet at 7 p.m.
The program will be "Redwork and Beyond" presented by Christine DeArmond, Eula Lang and Kaye Spitzli.
Anyone who has Redwork items is asked to bring it and share. Visitors are welcome.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
