Sermon series
Two weeks remain in the Eudora United Methodist Church "Running On Empty" sermon series. The sermons take place during Sunday worship at the church's temporary location at Warren-McElwain Mortuary/Eudora Chapel, 1003 John L. Williams Drive, east on 10th Street on Douglas County Road 442.
The Rev. Michael Thomson DeGreeff will lead the remaining sermons with the following topics -- "Life is Short: Pray Hard," Sunday; and "Your Money or Your Life," Jan. 28.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
