Livestock association meeting set
The Douglas County Livestock Association will meet at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 1 at Building 21N of the Douglas County Fairgrounds.
The programs include "Tips to Improve Profit" and "Marketing Your Beef at a Commission Company," by Rob Gloss of the Overbrook Livestock Commission Company; "Marketing Beef Through Special Sales" by John Cline of the Manhattan Commission Company; and "Utilizing Alternative Feed Sources" by Arman Miller of Wildcat Feeds LLC.
The meeting is open to the public.
A brisket and smothered steak dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. Cost of the dinner is $8 for Douglas County Livestock Association members and $10 to non-members. Pre-registration is required.
