CPA golf tourney scheduled
The annual CPA Picnic golf tournament will begin at 8 a.m. July 27 at Eagle Bend Golf Course, 1250 E. 902 Road, Lawrence. Golfers should arrive by 7:30 a.m.
The registration fee for the two-person scramble is $50 per person or $100 per team and includes green fees for 18 holes, cart rental, lunch, range balls and drink tickets. As a reminder, tank tops and cut-offs are not allowed.
A registration form appears on Page 4A in this week's issue of The Eudora News.
Registration is due at 5:30 p.m. July 24 to Byrne's Pharmacy, P.O. Box 670, Eudora 66025.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
