Twenty-one residents and friends enjoyed the July birthday party Friday in the Pinecrest II clubroom.


  • The July potluck dinner will be noon Saturday in the Pinecrest II clubroom.

  • Julia Polfer and Ellen Moll, Lenexa, and Jan Kelley, Overland Park, had lunch Tuesday with Tillie Bichelmeyer and spent the afternoon playing pinochle.

  • Visitors of Tillie Bichelmeyer Sunday afternoon were her sister-in-law Frances Smith, Slater, Mo., Clarence Hodges, Laurie, Mo., and Jim Bichelmeyer, Shawnee.

  • Betty Ryan and Bud Nielson had breakfast Tuesday morning with Carl and Jo Ella Ryan of Missouri.

Betty and Bud drove to Topeka Tuesday and had lunch with three of Bud's friends.

Later they visited Betty's daughter Virginia Freeman in Topeka. Virginia is recovering from carpal tunnel surgery.

Betty and Bud drove to Shawnee Wednesday and had lunch with Robert and Dora Nielson.


  • Colleen Thompson, De Soto, visited her grandmother Elva Jordan Monday morning.

  • Randy and Beth Copleigh, Kansas City, Mo., spent Sunday with her mother, Alta Vorhies and took her out for dinner.

  • Our manager, Carol Scott, celebrated her birthday by treating the residents to her birthday cake. She said she appreciated all the cards and good wishes.

  • My daughter and son-and-law Sharon and La Verne Musick, Linwood, visited me Tuesday evening.
