Prayer group forming
The Eudora United Methodist Church is offering an evening prayer group that meets at 6 p.m. the last Thursday of each month at 1311 Juniper Ct.
The meeting will include a time of quiet prayer and contemplation, dinner and fellowship.
To plan for enough food, those planning to attend are asked to call 542-1152 or e-mail uman@sunflower.com.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
