Of course there’s disappointment, Eudora baseball coach Dirk Kinney said. Disappointment reigns for 63 of Class 4A’s 64 teams at the end of every season, and once again having fallen short of being that one happy team, the Cardinals aren’t happy.

The city’s sesquicentennial celebration will be a time to look toward the future, revel in the present and remember the past.
The event schedule is nearly set. The celebration will be Oct. 5 and 6 in conjunction with EudoraFest
The city’s sesquicentennial committee will include a list of events for the two-day extravaganza in an information packet to be included with the city’s June bills.
“I’m excited about all of it actually,” sesquicentennial committee co-chair LaDonna Russell said.

The Eudora City Council approved the layout May 29 for the future home of the Eudora Fish statue.
The statue, cast by Lawrence artist Jim Brothers, will be located at the northeast corner of CPA Park facing toward the river.

Her group doesn’t have an official name, or even a slogan, but Kim Schulz has committed herself to making sure a fall school bond passes.
She’s looking for more like-minded residents to join a campaign committee to help inform the public on what the $45 million referendum entails. She co-chairs the committee with Karen Sanders.
