Pinecrest news

Pinecrest manager Carol Scott entertained Friday with a Valentine's party. After playing Bingo, 23 residents and friends enjoyed a meal prepared by Carol. Her husband, Larry, and grandson Colton were guests.

Tillie Bichelmeyer had knee surgery last Thursday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital and suffered a mild heart attack Saturday.

Charlene Wittenmyer had knee surgery Tuesday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital and is now home recovering.

Delores Barnes is in St. Francis Hospital in Topeka having back surgery.

Clarice Morriss was a dinner guest Sunday of her sister Phyllis Oshel. Other guests were Tammy Galloway and daughters Allie and Cassy of Lawrence. They played cards in the afternoon.

Elva Jordan, Darlene Randel, Freda Schwindt and Kay Isaacs attended the Heart to Heart luncheon Wednesday at the Southern Baptist Church.

Betty Ryan was taken Sunday to Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Bertie Morriss visited her new great-granddaughter Camron Jade McCormick at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Camron is the daughter of Travis and Brandi McCormick. She was born Feb. 20. She weighed 7 pounds and was 19 inches long.
She has a 4-year-old brother, Jace.

The exercise class meets from 8:30 to 9 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the Pinecrest II clubroom.

My daughter Sharon Musick of Linwood visited me Sunday. My daughter Pam Snively of Maryville, Mo., visited me Saturday.

I have a new great-great-grandson. Salim Luke Smith was born at 1:05 p.m. Feb. 25, weighing 4 pounds 14 ounces and was 18 inches long. He is the son of Tiffany Musick and Jeremiah Smith. I visited them Monday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
