Blastball
The Eudora Parks and Recreation Department is offering Blastball for preschoolers ages 3 to 4.
Blastball is a fast-paced game for young kids. It emphasizes the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship. A parent or guardian must participate with the child during the instructional period.
Games will begin at 6 p.m. June 4 and will be played at the Eudora Community Learning Center, 10th and Main streets.
Cost is $25 per person and includes a T-shirt. Registration deadline is May 24.
Registration drop boxes are available at the Eudora Recreation office, 14 E. Seventh St., and at Eudora City Hall, 4 E. Seventh St. Forms may also be mailed to Eudora Parks and Recreation, P.O. Box 182, Eudora 66025, or taken to the Eudora City Hall from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
