Neis receives specialist designation

Matt Neis, a financial consultant with A.G. Edwards & Sons in Lawrence has completed training for the title of Accredited Asset Management Specialist. This program is offered through the College for Financial Planning, the country's oldest provider of financial planning education for more than 28 years.

Financial consultants who are awarded the Accredited Asset Management Specialist title are not only prepared to identify opportunities in investments but also in areas like insurance, tax savings, retirement and estate planning.

To become an AAMS, Neis successfully completed 120 hours of training focused on subjects such as asset allocation, retirement planning and risk management. Neis also agreed to abide by a comprehensive code of ethics.

Neis lives in Shawnee with his wife, Debbie, and their son, Blake. He graduated from Eudora High School in 1987 and Pittsburg State University in 1991 with degrees in business management and finance. Neis has been with A.G. Edwards since February 1999.
