Eudora Parks and Recreation will have "Cards Night" from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursdays in the new community center. A $2 fee will be charged to alleviate costs. Snacks will be provided.
Eudora Parks and Recreation is looking for sports officials for various activities including basketball, volleyball and soccer. These are paid positions per game or match. For more information, call Tammy or Jim at 542-1725.
Women's volleyball will be offered in the coming months, provided there is enough interest. There is a fee to participate.

Registration for men's basketball is currently taking place. Games will be played on Wednesday evenings beginning in January 2008 at the new community building.
There is a fee to participate and includes a 10-game guarantee. A six-team minimum is required to offer the league.

Youth basketball registration forms are available at the recreation department office at 14 E. Seventh St. The deadline for registration is Nov. 16. Late sign-ups will be charged a $15 fee.
The league will be offered for first- through sixth-grade boys and girls. Practices will begin in December and games will start in January 2008.
For youth ages 3 through 5, a four-session clinic will take place.

A banking and investing program is scheduled to begin Nov. 12 at the new community center. Eudora City Councilman Jeff Peterson will lead the class.

The Eudora Parks and Recreation Department after-school program for Eudora children will be provided from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Nottingham Elementary School, 1428 Elm St., until the new community center is finished. Once it is complete, the program will move to the new location.
Cost is $5 daily or $20 weekly.

Eudora Parks and Recreation will offer Tae Kwon Do classes in the new community center.
Instructor Bob Brinkley, who holds a second degree black belt, will have classes for 4- to 6-year-olds, 7- to 12-year-olds and adults ages 13 and older.
The classes will be Monday and Wednesday evenings.
There is a charge for the classes.
