Area singers selected
Eudora High School students Kim Scherman, Morgyn Carey and Callie Sanders were selected to the Northeast Kansas Music Educators Association Honors Choir at auditions on Saturday in Baldwin.
Eudora had 10 singers present at the auditions and 700 students total competed for 150 slots. Each student performed three pieces and sight sang for judges.
Scherman was chosen for the third straight year and all three students will perform Dec. 1 at Shawnee Mission South High School.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
