Megan Ballock, Eudora, was one of 17 Pittsburg State University cross country runners who received recent academic honors in their respective sports for the 2007 fall semester.

Ballock, a sophomore family and consumer science major, was named to the MIAA women's honor roll.

To be eligible, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or better, have completed at least two terms of attendance at the member institution and be an active roster member as a sophomore, junior or senior in eligibility.


  • Kansas State University announced students who received scholarships in the amount of $1,000 or more for the 2007-2008 school year.

Eudora area recipients include Frank Ryan Male, Charles Edmund Mersmann, Michael Dominic Mersmann, Kyle Robert Plaice, Stephen Prudden, Sam Patrick Scott and Mary Ellen Cox.
