Book discussion

Eudora United Methodist Church Pastor Michael Thomson-DeGreeff will lead a discussion group on the Book "Believe the Believable" by Virgil Brady.

Thomson-DeGreeff is also combining two sermon series throughout the next three months that includes the book "Believe the Believable" and the Acts of the Apostles from the Bible. Topics include "How Do We Read the Bible? Believe the Believable," Oct. 7; "Acts of the Apostles Building a Spirit-Filled Church: Obedient," Oct. 14; and "What is the Purpose of Your Life? "Believe the Believable," Oct. 28; "Acts of the Apostles Building Spirit-Filled Church Through Sharing and Honesty," Nov. 11; "How to be a True Lover, Believe the Believable," Nov. 11; and "Acts of the Apostles Building a Spirit-Filled Church Through Growing," Nov. 18.

At each of the book discussion times, an assigned chapter of the book will be discussed. The following Sunday, the Rev. Thomson-DeGreeff will preach on that chapter.

The discussions will take place at 9:15 a.m. Oct. 14 and Nov. 4 and Nov. 18 at the Warren-McElwain Chapel on East 10th Street on Douglas County Road 442.

Books are available for purchase.

The public is invited to participate in any or all of the sermons and discussions.
