Red all over
Red was the dominant color Wednesday as students at Nottingham Elementary School enjoy lunch. The red clothing was part of the school's observance of Red Ribbon Week. Events are taking place in schools throughout the district in the weeklong celebration of drug-free living.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
