Pinecrest news

The September birthday party will be at 5 p.m. Friday in Pinecrest II clubroom.
Those celebrating birthdays are Betty Forsyth, James Conyers, Nora Dyche and Alvena Tuggle.

Marty Bichelmeyer, Shawnee, and Tillie Bichelmeyer attended the Tuesday morning funeral of Ralph Mersmann at the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Scipio.

Bud Nielsen and Betty Ryan met Bud's son and daughter-in-law Bob and Dora Nielson, Shawnee, in De Soto for lunch Sunday.

Bertie Morriss was a dinner guest Monday of her daughter and son-in-law Merlene and Price McCormick.
Other guests were Kevin and Anna McCormick and son Killian, Olathe, Kurtis and Misty McCormick and Kasi and Kurtis, and Travis and Brandi McCormick and Jace and Camiron.

Clarice Morriss was a dinner guest Sunday of her sister Phyllis Oshel and Ernie Oshel.
Other guests were Tammy Galloway and daughters Kassie and Allie.

Felicia Brown, Lawrence, visited her mother, Alta Vorhies, Monday morning.

Alta Vorhies and Clarice Morriss went to Lawrence shopping Monday.

Randy and Beth Cobledge, Kansas City, Mo., visited her mother, Alta Vorhies, Sunday.

My son Raymond Steffen, Mesa, Ariz., arrived Friday evening to spend several weeks with me and visiting other relatives and friends.
Raymond and I attended Gertrude Coon's memorial Saturday afternoon at Memorial Park Cemetery.
I enjoyed Gertrude's friendship when she lived next door to me. We all will miss her.

My son David Tuggle and my grandson Austin visited with Raymond and me Saturday morning.

My Sunday evening dinner guests were my daughter and son-in-law Sharon and LaVerne Musick and my son Raymond Steffen.
