Bowling fundraiser set
A bowling fundraiser to help support research into Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and Sudden Unexplained Childhood Death will be from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at Royal Crest Lanes, 933 Iowa St., in Lawrence.
Tickets for the event are $15 each and will benefit the First Candle organization.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
