Gathering set
Hesper Friends Church will have a night of fellowship at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Church, 2355 N. 1100 Road.
Gary Wright will provide music and a message. He will speak again at 10:30 a.m. Sunday during service.
The weekend will celebrate both the history of the church and a new addition to the Church meeting house.
The church is two miles south and one-and-a-half miles east of Eudora.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
