Bond bus tour rolling Monday
If residents want to see first-hand reasons why the district is putting a $45 million bond referendum to a Nov. 6 vote, they will have an opportunity to do so at 7 p.m. Monday.
Eudora USD 491 will offer free bus tours of district facilities at that time.
"The bus tour is maybe the best way to understand the challenges of our current facilities and to really see where the proposed additions and construction projects would end up," Eudora Superintendent Marty Kobza said. "We have done this tour for our Community Advisory Committee, as well as for teachers and staff, and participants havetold us repeatedly how much they learned."
The tours will depart from the parking lot of Eudora High School promptly at 7 p.m. Participants are encouraged to arrive a few minutes early and to wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
Bus tour participants will travel by school bus, with stops at each of the district's school buildings.
Along the way, Kobza will explain why the proposed projects are needed and point out how the projects would tie in to existing facilities.
