While they were there, they saw Betty's great-granddaughter Madison Ryan and her grandson Randy Ryan Jr. race in a riding lawn mower race.

Bertie Morriss attended the birthday party for her great-granddaughter Seven Alvarez's second birthday at the home of her parents, Daniel and Elizabeth Alvarez in Lawrence. Other family members and friends enjoyed the afternoon.

My sons Dudley Steffen, Gravois Mills, Mo., and Raymond Steffen, Mesa, Ariz., and I drove to Wisconsin Dells, Wis., Sept. 9 to 14. We visited friends from when we lived there in 1947 to 1951. We also took the Duck ride on the lower Dells, a cruise on the upper Dells, saw the house where we lived and Raymond talked to the man who owns it now. On Wednesday, they got a pontoon boat and fished on Lake Delton and we had fish for supper.
We also visited Devil's Lake and Rocky Arbor State Park where we used to have picnics.
It was a great week, one I couldn't have done if they hadn't taken me.
My son Raymond Steffen and I were dinner guests of my sister and brother-in-law Carol and Howard Belles in Lawrence. Millard and Leola Murray came over for dessert and to visit.
