Eudora survives for tight road win
In what turned out to be a battle of every possession, the Eudora High School football team edged past Prairie View 34-20 Friday night.
Eudora took the lead on the first possession, but saw Prairie View counter with two touchdowns in the second quarter to force the Cardinals to play from behind for the fourth consecutive week. In what turned into a make-or-break situation, Eudora answered with two touchdowns of its own to reclaim the lead for good.
The Cardinals scored two more touchdowns, one in the third quarter and the other in the fourth quarter to build a 34-14 lead. The Buffalos weren't going quietly into the night, though, as they were able to add another score and threatened once more before a late interception sealed EHS' win.
The Cardinals improved to 4-0 overall on the season heading into Friday's home contest against Gardner Edgerton.
