Rec update

The deadline for adult co-ed volleyball through the Eudora Parks and Recreation is Monday. Cost is $100 per team for eight matches. The league champion team will receive T-shirts.

Matches will begin Oct. 7 at the Eudora Community Learning Center.

  • Leagues are forming for youth basketball for the late fall and winter seasons. Coaches also will be needed.

An instruction clinic will be offered for participants ages 3 to 5. There is a $25 fee.

A league also is offered for first through sixth grades for boys and girls. There is a $35 fee.

  • Eudora Parks and Recreation will offer Tae Kwon Do classes when the construction of the community center is complete.

Instructor Bob Brinkley, who holds a second degree black belt, will have classes for 4- to 6-year-olds, 7- to 12-year olds and adults ages 13 and older.

The classes will be Monday and Wednesday evenings.

There is a charge for the classes.
