The "Lazy Rabid Squirrel Dragon Knights" Patrol of Eudora Boy Scout Troop 64 won first place at the annual Pelathe District Spring Camporee, which took place April 11 through 13 at Camp Bromelsick, west of Lawrence.

The "Dragon Knights" won 1st place in the overall competition, beating out eight other patrols from Lawrence and Baldwin troops. The events included land navigation, GPS, Morse code, knots and lashings, first aid, and "Find the lost Scout."

Those attending from Troop 64 were Joseph Walker, Colin Forsberg, Jonathan Morrison, Alex Whitten, Devon Middleton, Simon Elwell, Nathan Bradley, Connor Bradley, Matt Jones, Evhan Sours, Trenton Wilkins, Chance Hamm, Zach Dudley, Patrick Bradley, Tanner Brunton, Andrew Briery, with a visit from Steven Wimmer on Saturday.

Adults and Scouters attending were Glenn Jackson, Jim Morrison, Roy Lytle, Jerry Criqui, Damon Bradley, Greg Elwell, Matt Jones, Dan Sours, John Scott, and Jim Briery. Ann Wimmer and Tim Middleton visited on Saturday.

Troop 64 is chartered to the Eudora Lions Club and meets at 7 p.m. on Mondays at the Eudora Learning Center, 10th and Main streets.
